The 7th and eventually the 8th Doctor's sonic screwdriver as seen in the 1996 TV Movie of Doctor Who.
This sonic screwdriver is another RB Replicas sonic screwdriver from their run in 2011. It's actually a rather accurate piece and is fully collapsible with a spring loaded center shaft. The shaft locks in the closed position with a quarter turn. The brass band in this model is actually brass as well. I haven't done anything to this really. I just reworked some hardware in the emitter to make sure it's solid and buffed it up a bit.
The Tardis key was made by the now closed 800-TREKKER company and is actually exactly what was used for the screen used prop key. Many people mistakenly believe the Spirit of Light made replica key was used though thanks to several people on Live Journal and the RPF it turns out that the actual key was indeed the 800-TREKKER key so I'm very happy to have one in my collection considering how hard these can be to find now.

in all seriousness I'm with you on the "official" replicas, often they're just not as good, heck the masters ring made by CT is a tone better than anything get retro ever made. All of the metal replicas that are official seem to be made out of a cheap metal, or just poorly designed, its good to know that their are prop makers out there that make down to the last detail replicas.
